Slasher Masks Vol 20

Holy shit how long had I've made one of these?

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict.
Here's this volume's picks:
Torment- Dissecto the Clown has to be the most misleading slasher I've seen. Just when you thought he would look something like this, he ends up looking like THAT! It's cheap, but least it works. If only the movie did too...

Slash- this South African slasher film had utilizing the good ole' scarecrow slasher again, and this one sortah looked a little better than what I imagined. The coat and hat definitely goes with it, but there's some angles that makes him look sortah like the Creeper from Jeepers Creepers.
Basement Jack- The titular killer actually looked a lot better without his mask. The mouth-piece was a good touch, but it looked a tad too big for his face for it to be a part of a child's doll. talk about convenience...
Cold Prey/ Fritt Vilt (I and II)- large. bulky. fuzzy. warm. And just when you thought a polar bear is the only dangerous thing that can live in the snow, this guy came along and goes all menacing on us. Good job, Mountain Man!
Lethal Obsession- Now this is a movie I have mixed feelings with. I dig the plot and the killer's get-up here. But as for the actual execution itself, I just wanna jump into a met grinder and end it all. At least the killer's suit, a wig, a painted mask and a drag, looked good...

Slasher Mask Vol 19

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict.
Here's this volume's picks:

Bloody Bloody Bible Camp- I'm really dying to see this slasher! I mean look at that! Transvestite killer in a nun's habit and a devil mask?! Tell me that ain't cool, and I'll stick a bread stick up yer-

Deadtime- For an awfully sucky rock and roll slasher, it features a rather cool looking, if not overused, potato sack mask. If only they did a better job with the story, and less CG kill, then this would have been a fun flick...

The Last Horror Film- Though rarely seen, the killer in The Last Horror Film donned a caped and top-hat over a very dark suit, plus a ski mask. Kinda mysterious lookin', and a bit dramatic. Guess it's better to keep it that way. Good!

Madison County- Ah yes, my hype-turned-traitor. Here's the biggest poop about this movie: the mask look fake. And cheap. Like the movie.

Night of the Dribbler- This awfully rare slasher, which I'm dying to see as well, features a very kooky lookin' killer. Not only is this guy wearing a basketball over his head, but it's a basketball with an evil grin.

What's next, a villain with an 8-Ball over his head-

Oh wait, Marvel Comics already done that.

Slasher masks Vol 18

I'll be removing the "Of the Week" part of the title cuz it's hardly done by weeks.  So, without further delay, here's this post's picks!

Dead Girls- A random killer? A deranged fan? An avenging psycho? It can be anyone underneath this mask and frankly, I think he/she's doing this do right! (The hat's a little too much, but least it goes with the cloak!)

Ice Scream- ...Is that a box of Supercrumpious Strawberry Berry Blast Popsicle Delight over yer head? ...Did you EAT the ice scream first before you put that silly thing over yer head?...

Get out of my sight, you hack!
Popcorn- Hey hey hey~! My fave movie's kooky villain! In a nutshell, the burnt look with weird metals is a cool gig especially if it allows you to put latex versions of other people's face over yers!

But those masks are a little spoilish so I'm gonna review this final "get-up" he used...which is very distracting. What is that thing he put over his mouth?
Sandy Hook Lingerie Party Massacre- I hadn't seen this flick...and I don't think I have any intention to either. How many clogs of metal did he used to make this mask?...
The Cycle: I've seen this flick a long long long long time ago and I recall not being impressed by it. i wanna try it again and see if I'll like it by now. Anywho, this is the hulkish killer's get-up in the movie, which is kinda cool in a decent kind of way. Not much to go here so yeah...bye!...

Slasher Masks of the Week Vol 17

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:

Hot Fuzz: The Neighbourhood Watch Alliance may be one of the silliest, yet grooviest band of killers I've ever seen, but in this action-slasher, I got to admit, they know how to dress up! Simple, yet intimidating, nice!

Purvos: Never heard of this film, but the mask...kinda sucks. I dunno, we got too many zombie masks out there...

Zibahkhana- The Pakistan slasher-zombie hybrid, perhaps the only Pakistan zombie-slasher hybrid in the world. I'm still trying to look this one up, but so far, I'm digging that mask! Kinda sacred looking...

The Wisher/Spliced- I recall seeing this number back when I was ten and now, I can see how...cheap it is. Mediocre, yes, but boring? A bit. Anywho, the killer dons a simple make-up and wig to cover his identity, and so far, it works. Just wished he'd been more smarter...

Severance- Death to Palisade says these locals; unrestrained animal urges to kill never looked so good in simple masks. A little satirical, but who's counting?

Slasher Mask of the Week vol 16

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:

?

What the heck?

Gotcha!

Sorry, just messing with you! Here are the masks!
Return to Horror High- Well, as creepy as it is, it's utterly lame. Still,  wouldn't hurt a bro for trying to be this school's ghoul~!

The Deepening- Not everyday I see a fight fighter's suit as a killer's guise! Kinda cool looking enough for me to check this one out! If I only know what it is about...

Ogroff/ Mad Mutilator: ugh, I actually sat through this cult French classic. Is it really worth seeing a guy masturbate with his axe? Or watch him fight a guy with a chainsaw? See him drive a motorbike with his helmet over his mask? no, not really...

what's that? oh right, his mask! uh...no. don't know shit what it is...

Berseker: Nordic Curse- I've keep hearing bad news about this film. not sure what to feel. However, the bear suit does look cool!

Zipperface- ...Not into BDSM, S&M, or that kind of torture porn. Seriously? People rock off to this? Dunno, don't care. Pretty good looking guise, but I prefer Pa's own suit from People Under The Stairs.

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S WEEK!!!

slasher masks of the week vol 15

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:

Final Remains (Mortuary) (2005)- Not entirely sure what he wanted to be, but he looks like a mad chef with that hat. Is the hat really neccesary? No. BEAT IT NERD!

Dark Woods- Well, he's wearing a camouflage with a face mask. Not sure what he's trying to do. Scary? Dude, a gramma with beaver teeth is scary, you, not so much. NEXT!

Adam and Evil- Well, it's a Halloween mask, pretty cheap and all. Least the killer's working it with that suit, even if the mask does look bigger than his body...

Death by Engagement- ...what...the...fuck...is...that? are you trying to obscure yer face with that?! NEXT!

When Heaven Comes Down- Now this look awesome! Creepy looking, yet cool at the same time! Good job, mate! best for this week's picks!

Slasher masks of the week vol 14

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:

Nail Gun Massacre- Okay, okay, looking pass the Darth Vader voice, the get-up is quite nice. A little uneven in stature, but it works. it works...(Sssss...oh, this awkwardness is killing me...)

Camping Del Terrore/Bodycount- A cool looking old-guy mask and a cloak works nice for this guy. If only the movie he was on was more...fleshy, if you  catch my drift.

My Super Psycho Sweet 16- Though the name's a bit off, Lord of The Rink may be the only slasher out there who got the knight get-up just right.

Cut (2000)- The killer in Cut dons this groovy looking skull mask. Slick and simple, I love it! It also looks like one of the masks I made for Halloween a few years back!

City of Blood- A rare African slasher, a unique mask. I hadn't seen this movie yet, but that mask is really something!

Slasher masks of the week vol 13

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:

Fear of Clowns (2004)- The face paint had a nice and original design, though I don't understand the need to go topless. Too bad the flick kinda sucked...

SAW (series)- Whoever is behind the mask, Pigface is an unnerving character who acts like Jigsaw's accomplice/apprentice. The original take had maggots, but I guess a long-haired pig mask works too

Cherry Falls (2000)- Our killer wears its hair down to disguise themselves, cool, but a little weird. How do they keep their faces hidden like that for long? Either ways, I like it!

Shredder (2003)- My fave snow-bound slasher next to the Fritt Vilt series, Shredder packs a cool looking killer in a ski-suit and goggles. The perfect disguise and it's fitting!

Malevolence (2004)- yeah, I never was that impressed with this. It's too cheap and too unoriginal.

Slasher masks of the week vol 12

Five slasher masks, randomly chosen, falls under my verdict, every week.

here's this week's meat:
Sledgehammer
Another plastic mask, it's silly, but not as befitting as the one from Don't Open Till Christmas. It's actually better looking on the kid version of the killer! Nice try, though

The Reeker/No Man's Land: Rise of the Reeker
Coming from the low-brow franchise is the Reeker, foulest killer there is, literally! So Stinky, he actually wears a mask to protect his dear nose from himself...that is if he has a nose. Good, and it's actually cool looking. Too bad he removes it too often.

Intruder (2008)
From a low-budget indie, The Intruder sports a clean-cut cheap clown mask that, honestly, works at a certain level. ...makes me feel empty...in a good way.

Hospital Massacre/X-Ray (1982)
obscure little cheesefest would always have an obscure little cheesy villain. A madman in a surgeon's get-up is slicing his way to his long love. And what can I say to that? Loose the head dress, mate.

Evil Night (1992)
Funny thing, I'm dying to see this low-bud shlock. It maybe the mask, or the fact that the try doing a psychic killer, but whatever the reason is, I'm passing this mother.
