It was godawful. Maybe it's my age, a lot of the movies that you remember from seeing on video, I remember seeing on the big screen. Hard to believe, but there once was a thriving theatre/drive-in scene, over a dozen in my area (from Pontiac to Flint, here in Michigan), and these indie horrors were constantly in play. Oh, the movies I used to see. Maybe that's why I like the seventies and eighties slashers, horrors, and action movies so much, I saw so many of them as they were meant to be seen, me being half tanked, with my best buds, and on the big screen. I was totally drunk when I first saw Alien, and the chestburster scene damn near made me shit my pants. But sorry, this movie just didn't do it for me, I saw it way too late in my life to be appreciated.
