He supervised and handled loads of fantastic special effect works in B-flick horrors, one of them being Bride or Reanimator. (the scene where West's rejected experiments came out and rampaged in the basement lair? Take one specific stock character type (pirate, gangster, or as here - miner) - give stock character type some kind of character appropriate treasure (dead man's chest of gold, silver coins from a casino, or as here - gold from the mine) - add several young people - let the mayhem commence.
